Postings here have been erratic. Not so much the content as the calendar. I hadn’t intended this. I had been hoping of getting back into a more regulated posting schedule. I’d also intended to make a more refined design than the one you’re looking at today.

I just haven’t gotten around to it.

The whys don’t really matter

I don’t have an excuse, really. My life has settled down into a pretty normal, boring routine. I have all the time in the world to write whatever I like. Most of the time, however, I just can’t think of anything to say. That’s not to say there isn’t anything to talk about. I suppose, like last week, I could go on about the upcoming US election. But, I’m bored with that before I write it. The outcome is so far off and everything really is still up in the air.

There’s always some tech news but that loses its flavor just as easily as US politics. Apple made this. Microsoft did that. Honestly, I don’t own any new thing to talk about so I haven’t. The last tech thing I bought was a new mouse and that was months ago. Um, you can’t go wrong with a Logitech? That’s all I have on that. Someone could always buy me an iPhone but I figure I get three or four calls a week anyway. I’m connected to the net enough. So much so that I usually stay off the web for days at a time. I don’t even visit my own site.

Anything else going on?

Well, there still is Pocketprose. Don’t think I forgot about it. I haven’t. The prime story that will be showcased there is still rattling in my brain and I figure I have about six or seven chapters of Cinnamon Drum in my head. I even have part of the first chapter written. I have conversations with Kate of the Red House on Lily Avenue and Queen Isabella of the Pixies all the time. The story gets more interesting every time I hear it. It’s just not done baking yet.

There’s a design for Pocketprose, as well, that’s not done baking either.

Chit Chat?

I haven’t bothered to log into AIM in a while as well. I just don’t have anything to talk about. Nothing pressing. I barely check email but to verify that Netflix is sending the next disc.

I have been watching TV. Eureka is great and if you’re not addicted to Kyle XY then you need to get over your superficial attitude and embrace the family sci-fi genre.

Low Flame

Maybe it’s just Summer. Perhaps there’s something about all that Sun that makes me want to retreat. So, instead I’ll just simmer for a bit and not let things get to quite a rolling boil just yet. I really am still here but none of my thoughts have approached order as yet and so I’m nowhere near a coherent thought on a single topic. Instead you get this.

Now, go watch Kyle XY. It’s one of those shows with just enough jeopardy to make you worry for the character but just enough schmaltz to leave you assured that everything will turn out alright in the end. It’s nice that way and I think in a time when things seem so chaotic it’s nice to know we can still do schmaltz.
