I’ve been writing more lately. I finally broke down and decided to learn how to use all these great applications to actually get some shit moving. I suppose I’ll break down what I’ve been using to create what I collectively refer to as the Tellerverse.

Version control and the new understanding

For some time I’ve used Subversion to maintain a remote copy of all my irreplaceable but frequently edited files. For a while this was workable despite my limited comprehension of SVN commands. Recently, however, things have become more untenable. I was using an OS X GUI client called svnX. That was working fine but more and more I was seeing odd errors that my limited understanding could not explain nor overcome.

How Twitter is keeping the ‘net alive

A moment ago I came across Kurt Vonnegut on Writing Better over at 43Folders. I read Merlin’s take on the origination of the post. I read Merlin’s tale of breakfast with Mr. Vonnegut. Then, for some reason, I was compelled to follow the link back to Metafilter where Merlin first came across his subject matter.

Bits

  • Seriously, I can only watch season one of #Leverage but so many times before I go, ok, more stir crazy. July is too far away.
  • Gone and got myself addicted to the card game in Free Realms. Honestly, more fun than it ought to be. Winning helps.
  • Finally gotten around to trying out Free Realms. I think I may be hooked.
